Sandy Gilster has been happily married for over 22 years to her loving husband, Kevin. The Gilsters are about to be empty nesters to their two amazing young men, Miles and Will. Sandy is one proud mom as her youngest is playing golf at Texas Wesleyan-FTW and her oldest ships off to the Navy this December.

Sandy is the Geriatric Specialist Community Liaison with Haven Behavior Hospital, as she has been working in geriatrics for nearly 25 years. Fortunately, mental health has never been more at the forefront of our society from books, celebrity discussions, to the news, etc. However, we’ve only cracked the surface when it comes to society’s awareness comfort discussing and overall education. That is Sandy’s primary role with those she comes in contact with. It’s her joy and honor to serve in this capacity so that someone can receive the support and relief that they need.

Sandy has served on the SIMA Board for two years now, as well as Seniors Standing Tall (a local senior education group). She also volunteers at the Argyle United Methodist Church where her family has been members since 2008.
